Packets were sent to each scout this week to inform you of our summer camp plans. We will be going to Camp Fleischman (click on link) near Mt. Lassen. Because it is out of the Sequoia Council we will need to fill out new medical forms. Please down load one for your next doctor visit. I'm hoping if you have one on hand you won't need to make an appointment just for the physical.
The cost of camp is $200 but the troop will cover $100 of the fee. We will also have a fee to help pay for gas. At our next meeting we will also be signing up for merit badges. The advancement page has been updated so you can see what you have.
Boy Scout Troop 282 is located in Reedley in the San Joaquin valley of central California. We have been serving the youth of our community for more then 80 years. We are one of the oldest continually chartered troops west of the Mississippi. Troop 282 is in the Sequoia Council, Mt. Whitney District. We are chartered by the Reedley Lions Club.
